Advanced nutrition for cycling

Endurance sports, such as road cycling, require careful planning to optimise performance. Much of the research used to inform current sports nutrition guidelines is derived from cycling-based studies. However, we must still extrapolate often highly-controlled laboratory-based studies to the real world of sport. This can be acheived through combining expert knowlege on sport science and sport nutrition principles with practical experience. But the fundamental understanding of human physiology is essential to plan an appropriate nutrition strategy. Watch this lecture to discover the underpinning physiology of cycling nutrition, equipping you with the knowledge to plan a nutrition strategy for cycling.
